Shahid El Hafed, 8 Nov 2015 (SPS) - Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) government described Saturday as "dangerous escalation" the visit of the King of Morocco Mohamed VI paid to the occupied territories of Western Sahara, subject to UN decolonization process through a referendum on Saharawi people's self-determination.

Polisario Front and SADR government, in a statement made public by the ministry of Information, have denounced the comments made by the king of Morocco Mohamed VI, in a speech at occupied El Aaiun, expressing rejection of the "threatening, intimidation and intransigence language" used by the king.

In response to Morocco's manoeuvring, the Polisario Front reiterated its condemnation of the king's visit to the occupied territories of Western Sahara.

Polisario Front considers the visit as a "dangerous escalation," also denouncing what have preceded and accompanied it, such as the state of siege, suppression, threats, arrests, physical and psychological provocations and harassment against defenceless Saharawi civilians.

Underlining the legal status of Western Sahara, which is one of the non-autonomous territories and colonial populations who claim their right to self-determination and independence, Saharawi government urged the United Nations to assume its responsibilities and exert pressure against the Kingdom of Morocco, in order to complete the decolonization of Western Sahara and allow Saharawi people to decide freely on their future.
