Submitted on

LONDON, November 27, 2015 (SPS) - The participants in a session of the British Parliament expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian and Sahrawi peoples and condemned the continued occupation of the Palestinian territories by Israel, supported by the United States, and of the Sahrawi territories by Morocco, backed by France.

The head of the British association “Justice,” Sid Ahmed Elyadassi, who participated in this meeting, expressed his solidarity with the Palestinian people, underlining that “the persistence of the situation in Palestine is due to the support of the United States to Israel.”

In this regard, he said that the “occupation by Morocco of the Sahrawi territories is supported by France.”

He underlined the similarity between the repression carried out by the Israeli forces against the Palestinians and the Moroccan forces against the Sahrawis in the occupied territories.

During this session, documents on the history and reality of Western Sahara’s occupation since 1975 were presented. (SPS)
