Bir Lahlou(Saharawi liberated territories) January 05, 2016 (SPS) - the President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, sent a congratulatory letter to his Cuban counterpart Raul Castro on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
President Mohamed Abdelaziz expressed, in his own name and on behalf of the Saharawi Government and people, his warmest and heartfelt congratulations, to his counterpart and to the Cuban people on the occasion.
“On this special occasion, we pay tribute to revolutionary heroes who achieved the triumph led by Fidel Castro, who opened the way for the recognition of the rights of the oppressed people around the world” added the President.
As struggle people for their legitimate rights to self-determination and independence, the Saharawi people proudly expressed grateful for the generous support and unconditional solidarity of Cuba with which we still have until this day in all areas.
I seize this opportunity also to thank the warm letter that we have received from His Excellency on the occasion of the XIV Congress of the Polisario Front which has also enjoyed an illustrious Cuban delegation.
He also reiterated his commitment and determination to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Cuba and the Sahrawi Republic.(SPS)
