Madrid, 30 jan 2016 (SPS) The new representative of the Frente Polisario in Spain, Khira Boulahi, called Saturday on Spain to complete the decolonization process in Western Sahara, stressing that "the involvement of Spain would accelerate the independence of this territory ".
In an interview with Spanish "cuartopoder", the representative of the Frente Polisario asked the Spanish Government to play an active role in the United Nations Security Council to expedite the decolonization of Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa.
Regarding the situation in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, she confirmed continuation of serious violations of human rights committed by the Moroccan repression forces against innocent Sahrawi civilians as well as looting of Sahrawi natural resources.
The Sahrawi answered several questions on international cooperation with the Saharawi party, humanitarian aid and the current situation in the camps after floods that have recently affected the region.
She also saluted the international solidarity movement, especially the political forces and institutions that support the Saharawi people in their struggle for freedom and independence. (SPS)
