Call for recognition of SADR

In a speech on this occasion, the President of SADR called on all countries of the world to accelerate the recognition of the Saharawi State (SADR) and support its candidacy at the United Nations.

"Fourty years after its establishment, the Saharawi State meets the conditions for membership in international organizations and bodies (...) we call on all countries of the world to accelerate the recognition of SADR, support its candidacy at the United Nations, fairness and peace and for the completion of the decolonization of the African continent," Abdelaziz stressed.

"This would be a good and wise decision, given that the independent Saharawi State, whose sovereignty will be completed on its national territory, constitutes a moderating factor of balance and stability in the region ...," Abdelaziz, also Secretary General of the Polisario Front, stated.

In this regard, he said that through its choice for open democracy and its conscious and peaceful people," the Saharawi State will create "cohesion between the peoples and countries of the region," regretting, moreover," the shameful role of international players in the promotion of the Moroccan occupation state to persist in intransigence and obstruction.
