Windhoek (Namibia), September 10, 2024 (SPS) - A Joint communiqué on the Namibia–Kenya Political and Diplomatic Consultations has called  on the international community to fully implement all relevant UN resolutions on Western Sahara.

The statement of the joint consultation held today, Tuesday, in the Namibian capital,Windhoek, at the ministerial level, said, “the Ministers encouraged the international community to fully implement all relevant UN resolutions on Western Sahara, and the Palestinian Question for sustainable peace and development in the respective regions”.

The consultation, co-chaired by Mr. Peya Mushelenga, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of Namibia, and Mr. Musalia Mudavadi, EGH, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign & Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, also highlighted the alignment of the two countries' views and positions on numerous continental and international issues. Furthermore, it emphasized the enhancement and strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation between Namibia and Kenya in various fields, particularly in economic cooperation.
