Madrid (Spain), July 16, 2024 (SPS) - The Spanish Minister of Youth and Childhood, Mrs. Cira Rego, met with the leaders of the Sahrawi delegation in Spain and representatives of the General Coordination of Friendship and Solidarity Associations with the Sahrawi people.
The aim of the meeting was to continue her sector's support for the Holiday in Peace program for the benefit of Sahrawi children, during a reception ceremony that brought her together with groups of children accompanied by host families.
The meeting was attended by Abdullah Al-Arabi, representative of the Polisario Front in Spain, and representatives of the General Coordination Friendship and Solidarity Associations with the Sahrawi people.
The discussions between the two parties focused on the efforts to ensure the success of the "Holiday in Peace " program events throughout the Spanish territory during the summer period, where the Spanish official confirmed that the program is fully in line with the guidelines for work on youth and childhood.
Following the meeting, a reception ceremony was held in honor of the groups of children accompanied by the host families.
