Screening a documentary film about the struggle and resistance of Sahrawi women in Madrid

Madrid, January 27, 2024 (SPS) - The documentary film “Rebel Women,” which tells the story of the struggle and resistance of Sahrawi women, was screened yesterday in the Spanish capital, Madrid, in the presence of the representative of the Polisario Front in Madrid, Mrs. Khadijatu Al-Mukhtar, and a number of representatives of Spanish civil society organizations.

The documentary has been film based on studies and research documenting human rights violations in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, the crimes committed by the Moroccan occupation against the Sahrawi people, and what the unarmed Sahrawis suffer in the occupied cities, especially the female activists who oppose the occupation and its brutal practices.

It also shed the light on the peaceful resistance led by Sahrawi women that has exposed the reality of the Moroccan regime and exposed its barbarity to the world, as well as his failed attempts to suppress the resistance in order to end the occupation and achieve freedom and independence.

After the screening of the film, a discussion was opened in which the attendees expressed their interest in the just Sahrawi cause and expressed their solidarity with the Sahrawi people as they struggled for half a century for their right to freedom and independence.
