Shahid Al-Hafed, January 9, 2024 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, confirmed that the Annual Foreign Relations Conference formed a solid basis for evaluating and determining the most effective ways to raise the level of diplomatic performance.

President Brahim Ghali, explained in his speech during his supervision of the conclusion of the conference that the presentations, discussions, summaries and conclusions that the Annual Foreign Relations Conference witnessed over the course of four days will form a solid basis for the evaluation and review of diplomatic work, to identify the strengths and weaknesses, and then determine the most effective ways to continuously raise performance, protect and maintain gains, develop work methods, and coordinate among various actors in foreign relations.

The President of the Republic praised the efforts of the Foreign Relations Authority during the past year at various levels, including national, regional, continental, international organizations and others.

He also mentioned the prominent gains, such as strengthening the status of the Sahrawi state as a founding member of the African Union and thwarting the maneuvers of the Moroccan occupying state, especially at the level of the continental organization’s partnerships, as in the participation of the Sahrawi state in the African Union’s summit with BRICS in South Africa and in the climate summit in Kenya, in addition to developing our country’s bilateral relations with many countries from Africa and Latin America.

The President of the Republic recalled the development taking place at the level of the legal battle and the file of natural resources, especially in Europe, and the continued efforts in the field of solidarity and the growing role of communities abroad, in addition to the United Nations’ adherence to the legal framework of the Sahrawi issue as an issue of decolonization.
