Moscow, Nov 15, 2017 (SPS)  - The Sahrawi people are “determined to continue their struggle for their independence, if the Moroccan occupying forces continue flouting the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council which affirm the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination,” said Wednesday, in Moscow, the Frente POLISARIO’s representative to Russia.
In a statement published on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the signing of the tripartite agreements of Madrid (14 November 1975) that he dubbed “appalling” for having “enshrined the illegal occupation of Western Sahara by Morocco,” Mohamed Fadhel Ali Salem denounced “the stubbornness of the Moroccan authorities to continue their policy of oppression and flagrant denial of the international law.”
“If the United Nations can’t force Morocco to respect the principles of the international law, the Sahrawi people remains committed to continuing their struggle for independence,” said Mohamed Fadhel who underlined that on 6th September 1991, 16 years after the war, a peace treaty was signed between the Frente POLISARIO and Morocco under the auspices of the United Nations which instituted a UN Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO).
“The Moroccan occupier continue to turn its back to all the resolutions of the United Nations which underlined notably the right of the Sahrawi people to determine their own fate through a referendum,” added Mohamed Fadel Ali Salem, pointing out that the Frente POLISARIO reiterates “its willingness to cooperate with the international efforts aimed at decolonizing Western Sahara, in accordance with the Charter and resolutions of the United Nations and the African Union.”SPS
