Chahid El-Hafed, Feb 18, 2020 (SPS) - The president of the Sahrawi National Commission for Human Rights (CONASADH), Abba El-Haissen, congratulated his Algerian counterpart, Buzaid Lazhari, on his election to the Chair of the United Nations Human Rights Council Advisory Committee at its 24th session in Geneva.
Mr. Abba El-Haissen expressed his best wishes to the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the United Nations Human Rights Council, wishing him every success in his new mission and being confident that his work in this international institution will open up the way to the emancipation of human and peoples' rights.
"The election of Lazhari as head of this body is a recognition of his professional experience and his distinguished position in the UN Human Rights Council," said the president of CONASADH.
The Sahrawi official expressed his will to strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two institutions in order to continue to defend the interests of the people and respect for human rights.SPS
