Tifariti (Liberated Territories), 22 December 2019 (SPS) - The representative of Zimbabwe to the 15th Congress of the Polisario Front has reaffirmed that Zimbabwe's position is firm and unswerving in regard to the Sahrawi issue, which is to support the right of the Sahrawi people and stand with it until independence is achieved.
In his speech to the participants in the 15th Congress of the Polisario Front, the Zimbabwean official mentioned the strong relations between Zimbabwe and the Sahrawi Republic that have been developing since his country recognized the Sahrawi Republic, pointing out that Zimbabwe has always defended the Sahrawi right in all international forums, in particular in the African Union and the United Nations.
He called on the international community to take urgent measures to stop all forms of violations by Morocco in Western Sahara and guarantee the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination. (SPS)
