New York (United Nations), 18 February 2023 (SPS) - The Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Western Sahara, Staffan de Mistura, continues his contacts with the parties concerned to find "a just, viable and mutually acceptable solution" to the Sahrawi issue, indicated Thursday the spokesman of the UN SG, Stephane Dujarric.
"The Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General, Mr. Staffan de Mistura, continues his contacts with all parties concerned in order to make progress towards a just, viable and mutually acceptable solution to the question of Western Sahara, in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the Security Council," said Stéphane Dujarric.
He also announced that the UN envoy will conduct, towards the end of this week, consultations in Germany on the Sahrawi issue. In April, he will address the Security Council on the conflict in Western Sahara.
