Rome (Italy) June 13, 2019 (SPS) - The Executive Board of the World Food Program, WFP, held on June 11, 2019 in Rome, has approved the Strategic Plan 2019-2022 to support the basket basic of the Sahrawi refugees.
According to the statement issued by the Sahrawi Red Crescent, the World Food Program approved in its annual session the Strategic Plan 2019-2022 to support the basic basket of refugees, strengthen the school diet and encourages complementary productive activities.
SRC specified in the communiqué that the number of protected persons ranges between 125,000 and 133,672 refugees, which represents 77% of the total Sahrawi refugees in Algeria.
The Saharawi humanitarian organization has expressed its gratitude to the world organization for the new plan, which, according to the it, "will alleviate the long suffering of the Sahrawi refugees".SPS
