Dili (Timor-Leste) 9.11.2022 (SPS) - The President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, H.E. Dr. Jose Ramos-Horta received Wednesday the Saharawi Republic Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Mr. Abba Malainin in the Presidential Palace in Dili.
The Saharawi Ambassador, Mr. Malainin briefed Timor-Leste’s President about the recent developments of different aspects of the struggle of the Saharawi people to exercise freely their right to Self-determination, independence and to achieve full sovereignty over their land.
The Timorese President, H.E. Dr. Jose Ramos-Horta is Nobel Peace prize laureate in 1996 and was known internationally as a strong advocate for the right of Self-determination and the Independence of the people of Timor-Leste, he is also a highly skilled diplomat, negotiator, and peace maker.

The Saharawi Ambassador expressed to the President, H.E. Dr. Jose Ramos-Horta, the sincere gratitude and thanks of the Saharawi President, H.E. Mr. Brahim Ghali, the Saharawi Government and Saharawi people for his personal Commitment, the Government of Timor-Leste, the National Parliament, political parties, Civil Society and the brotherly people of Timor-Leste for the steadfast support and defense for the right of Self-determination and full independence.
