Bouzkarn (Morocco), June 23, 2019 (SPS) - The Association for the Protection of Sahrawi Prisoners in Moroccan Jails has reported that the prison administration in the occupied city of El-Aaiun on June 20 deported Sahrawi political prisoner Ali Salem Boujmaa Saadouni to Bouzkarn prison in southern Morocco.
He was slapped, kicked, beaten, handcuffed and put in solitary confinement, deprived of any external contact.
This arbitrary and humiliating deportation is part of a systematic policy of reprisal by the Moroccan occupation state against Saharawi activists demanding the independence of Western Sahara.
It is worth mentioning that Sahrawi activist Ali-Salem Bujmaa Saadouni is serving a five-month prison term after being arrested by the Moroccan occupation authorities on April 11, 2019, on fabricated charges in retaliation for his political positions and field activities. (SPS)
