Shahid El-Hafid (refugee camps), 30 July 2022 (SPS) - A delegation of the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union (AU) arrived Friday in the Sahrawi refugee camps, as part of a two-day working visit to the institutions of the Sahrawi Republic.
The visit of the delegation led by the AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Bankole Adeoye, accompanied by a large delegation of heads of AU decision-making organs, as well as the Permanent Representative to the AU and Ambassador to Ethiopia, Mr. Lamine Abaali, aims to inquire closely about developments in the Sahrawi question.
The delegation was welcomed by the citizens and authorities of the wilaya of Smara, where it also paid a visit to certain Sahrawi structures and met officials and political and military executives.
