Addis Ababa, Dec 10, 2016 (SPS) Minister Delegate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in charge of African Affairs, Hamdi Khalil Mayara, Representative of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed-Salem Ould Salek, attended the 5th Ministerial Retreat of the Executive Council of the African Union, held December 8-9, in Addis Ababa.
Among the sessions scheduled for the two days of deliberations during the 5th retreat are: Global and continental political trends; Elections, democratization and governance; Commodities' strategy; and a session about the progress and popularization of Agenda 2063 as well as the debate of the candidates for the position of Chairperson of the AU Commission.
The Minister was accompanied by Mr. Laman Baali, the Sahrawi Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Baba El Bardi, First Secretary in the Sahrawi Embassy in Addis Ababa. (SPS)
