Tifariti (Liberated Territories), May 20, 2018 (SPS) - The festivities commemorating the 45th anniversary of the outbreak of the Saharawi armed struggle kicked off Sunday in Tifariti, in the presence of the president of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and secretary general of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali.
The celebrations have also been attended by delegations representing Saharawi provinces and institutions, international personalities, ambassadors from friendly countries and supporters of the Saharawi just cause.
After a national flag-raising opening the festivities commemorating the 45th anniversary of the outbreak of the Saharawi armed struggle, the leader of Western Sahara reviewed detachments of the Saharawi People's Liberation Army participating in military parades.
The celebrations have also been marked by Saharawi special units carrying out military parades.
Civilian parades have also been organized, with the participation of schoolchildren from the liberated territories who delivered messages of love and peace to the foreign delegations attending the event. (SPS)
