Bir Lehlou (refugee camps) May 15, 2011 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, has sent a letter of thank and gratitude to the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Mr Meles Zenawi, during a stopover in Addis Ababa on his return from the Republic of Uganda where he attended the inauguration of President Yoweri Museveni.
Following is the complete text of the letter:

Excellency and Dear Brother,
Whilst making a stopover in your brotherly country on our way back from another brotherly country, Uganda, I would like to address this letter, on behalf of the Sahrawi people and the Government of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and on my behalf, to convey to your Excellency and Dear Brother and to the brotherly people of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia our most sincere greetings and best wishes.
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has always been a staunch supporter of the Sahrawi people and their legitimate cause. We are grateful for the overwhelming solidarity and generous support that your great country has constantly extended to our people in their national struggle for self-determination and independence.
The Sahrawi people, the last victim of colonialism in Africa, have been suffering for more than three decades the despicable Moroccan occupation of their territory. They will always count on your brotherly country and on Africa to ensure that justice triumphs and that they are able to enjoy, without delay, their inalienable and legitimate right to freedom and independence.
I would like to renew to your Excellency and Dear Brother our strong resolve to further consolidate and diversify the very strong bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation already existing between our two nations in the interests of our brotherly peoples and the peoples of our continent.
