Dozen of Saharawis injured during a peaceful demonstration in occupied city of Boujdour

Boujdour (occupied territories), May 26, 2011 (SPS) - twelve Saharawi have wounded Wednesday, including serious injuries following an intervention by the Moroccan forces of repression against a peaceful demonstration in the occupied city of Boujdour, calling for the withdrawal of Moroccan occupation from Western Sahara, according to a statement of the Ministry in charge of the Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad.

Moroccan forces brutally intervened to disperse demonstrators denouncing the Moroccan repression in occupied territories of Western Sahara, the source added.

The concerned injuries are: Mohamed Lakhal, Ahmed HbAE, Mohamed Fadel Ould Hamadi, Karima Bouragaa, Albossiti Mohamed Habib Hamiya, Elghalia Moussa, Fatma Belkheir, Najma Rahel , Jdey Khatari, Kharash Mbarek.

The Saharawi citizen, Ahmed Najem, was also arrested, the source said, noting that the injuries could not go to the hospital fearing arrest.

Moreover, the occupied city of Boujdour is under tightly military siege, after reinforcement arrived to prevent Saharawis demonstrations. (SPS)
