Death of Saharawi women affected by injuries due to Moroccan attack on Gdeim Izik camp

El Aaiun (occupied territories) July 10, 2011 (SPS) - The Saharawi citizen, Khadijatu Bahia, died Saturday in the occupied city of El Aaiun affected by injuries due to the Moroccan assault on the camp of Gdeim Izik on November 2010, according to sources from the City.

The deceased died after a struggle with serious injuries, after she shot by the Moroccan gendarmerie with a number of the Sahara citizens following the dismantlement of Gdeim Izik camp by the Moroccan occupation forces.

The Saharawi citizen was transported directly after the incident to several hospitals in the Moroccan cities of Marrakech and Casablanca, before she returned to El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara. (SPS)
