SADR takes part at Socialist International Council Meeting

San Jose, Jan 24, 2012 (SPS) - A Saharawi delegation takes part at the meeting of the Socialist International council held in San José, Costa Rica from 23 to 24 January 2012, reported today SADR Embassy in Nicaragua.

 


The delegation comprises of Minister in charge of Latin America, Mohamed Yeslim Beissat and Ambassador in Nicaragua, Sueiliman Teib Henan.


With international economic crisis as a central theme, the Council of the Socialist International was opened Monday by Laura Chinchilla, President of the Republic of Costa Rica and the current President of the Socialist International and former Prime Minister of Greece George Papandreou.


The event was attended by representatives of socialist and labor parties from all continents to address further issues related to climate change and internal reforms to the organization.


The Saharawi delegation took the opportunity to meet and greet several delegations taking part at the meeting.(SPS)
