Saheed Elhafed (Refugee Camps), Feb 22, 2012 (SPS) - Minister of Youth and Sport, Mr. Mohamed Mouloud Mohamed Fadel, said Wednesday that all circumstances is ready to launch the 12th edition of Sahara Marathon and hosting participants from several countries.
In press conference held at Ministry of Information, Mr. Mohamed Mouloud asserted that Sahara Marathon is an expression of solidarity with the Saharawi people and their just cause through sport.
"During this year several projects will emerge including the construction of sports stadiums and the organization of training courses for the Sahrawi athletes and coaches ", he revealed.
The Marathon will be marked by the participation of more than two hundred athletes from several countries including Algeria, Spain, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Britain, the United States of America, Slovenia, Austria, Romania, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, Greece and South Africa.
12th International Marathon of Western Sahara (Sahara Marathon) will be held on February 27, on the sidelines of the commemoration of 36th anniversary of the SADR proclamation. (SPS)
