Ambassador Mohamed Slama Badi received at Timorese Foreign Ministry by Mr. Francisco Tilman Cepeda

Dili, April 20, 2012 (SPS) - Ambassador of the Saharawi Republic (SADR), Mr. Mohamed Slama Badi, received Friday at Timorese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation by its Director General, Francisco Tilman Cepeda.

A number of issues discussed including the latest developments on the situation in Western Sahara, especially human rights violations committed by Moroccan repressive organs against the Saharawi citizens in occupied Western Sahara and south of Morocco, systematic looting of Saharawi natural resources and.

It also focused on reviewing the work of MINURSO, UN Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara, and other issues of common interest.

From his part, the Timor-Leste Official voiced “support of his government to the just cause of the Saharawi people”, expressing its desire to “promote and strengthen the bilateral relations in the interest of the two peoples and two countries, East Timor and Western Sahara.” (SPS)
