Chahid El Hafed (refugee camps), September 1, 2012 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente Polisario, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, headed Friday to Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopian, to attend the funeral ceremony of the late Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi.
The Saharawi Republic (SADR) has strong and close relations with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopian, and there is an embassy of SADR in Addis Ababa accredited to Ethiopia and the African Union.
The late Meles Zenawi is a prominent figure on the international and African level. He had played pivotal role in the building and integration of the African Union.
Ethiopia is one of the countries that support struggle of the Saharawi people. It has always expressed its firm position with their just cause in various international spheres.
The President is accompanied by an important delegation includes Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Public Employees, Minister Delegate to PM, and Ambassador of SADR to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to AU, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Khira Ballahi, Salek Babeh, Dr. Sidi Mohamed Omar respectively.
