President of Republic receives delegation of the European Left Party

 Shahid Alhafed, October31, 2012(SPS) President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz Tuesday received the ELP Vice President, Maite Mula, and her accompanying delegation at the end of their three-day visit to the Saharawi Republic.
 

During the meeting SADR President applauded the traditional position of the European Left Party in supporting the long standing struggle of Sahrawi people for freedom and Independence.
 

The President has urged the international community to assume full responsibility towards just cause of the Sahrawi people, emphasizing on the need to establish mechanism for monitoring and protecting Human Rights in the Occupied Western Sahara.
 

He also called on the ELP to redouble its efforts in transmitting the message of the Sahrawi people inside the European Union urging   it   to put pressure on EU to change its position that encourages the Moroccan colonial presence in Western Sahara and to insure that any future fisheries agreement between the EU and Morocco will not include the waters of Western Sahara.

For her part, Vice President of the European Left Party Maite Mula, reaffirmed the ELP strong support and solidarity with the Saharawi cause. “a constant and unwavering support that is renewed by this visit”
 

She has revealed the intention of the ELP and the parties that work under its umbrella to send observatory missions that includes militants and responsible to occupied Western Sahara to closely asses the gross human rights violations particularly against women.
 

Mula also transformed the feeling of the delegation after the visit to the Moroccan military wall of more than 2000 km which divides Western Sahara, deploring the involvement of countries like US, France Germany and Spain in particular in selling arms to Morocco.
 

“While they are selling weapons to Morocco, they all should assume their historical responsibility in the process of decolonization in Western Sahara” she said.(SPS)
