Kingdom of Lesotho reaffirms its strong support for the struggle of the Saharawi people

Maseru, Nov 26, 2012 (SPS) - Prime Minster of Lesotho, Tom Motsohaa  has reiterated his country’s firm support to the struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence, said statement of the Saharawi embassy in South Africa

       

During a meeting with the Saharawi Ambassador,Salha Laabad , Prime Minster Tom Motsohaa expressed satisfaction distinguished bonds of friendship between his country and the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), renewing determination to strength it through the mutual cooperation and consultation within the African Union (AU)   .

 

For his part, the Saharawi Ambassador has conveyed warmest greeting of President Mohamed Abdelaziz to King of Lesotho, Letsie III, expressing gratitude for the unwavering position of Lesotho in supporting the Sahrawi cause since the beginning of the conflict.

 

Mr. Salha Laabad informed his interlocutors of the latest developments of the Saharawi cause in particular the recent visit of the UN envoy Christopher Ross to the region,

 

The Saharawi ambassador attended a dinner offered by King Letsie III in honor of the diplomatic corps accredited to Maseru. (SPS)
