Bir Lehlu ( liberated tarritories), Dec 23, 2012 (SPS) - President of Republic and Secretary General of Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, has sent today a congratulatory message to his South African counterpart, Jacob Zuma on his reelection as Head of African National Congress (ANC).

“On the occasion of the closing of the 53rd National Conference of the African National Congress, I would like to address to you this message, on behalf of the Government and People of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, to convey to you our most sincere congratulations for your re-election as President of the ANC, and to wish you all the best. I would also like to congratulate you and all comrades of the party for the successful national conference in terms of the leadership elected and the important decisions taken.

Your re-election at the helm of the African National Congress has demonstrated anew the great confidence placed in you to lead the party to continue its steady march, as the strongest political movement in the country, towards the realisation of the aspirations of the people of South Africa for more progress and socioeconomic development. We are confident that the sisterly Republic of South Africa, under your dynamic and wise leadership, will continue to consolidate its standing and role as a strong political and economic power in Africa and the world.

The Sahrawi people will always be grateful for the overwhelming solidarity and generous support that the Republic of South Africa has constantly extended to our people in their national struggle for self-determination and independence. I would like to renew our strong resolve to further consolidate and diversify the very strong bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation existing between our two nations and to boost them to the highest level in the interests of our brotherly peoples and the peoples of our continent.

As the year 2012 comes to an end, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and the brotherly people of South Africa a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.” (SPS)
