ALGIERS, July02,2013 (SPS) - The spokesman of the Algerian ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amar Belani, on Sunday dubbed Morocco’s media campaign against Algeria a "premeditated escalation, largely based on the "distortion" of the content of official statements on the issue of Western Sahara " noting that it was preceded by an act of unspeakable hostility implicating Algeria’s territorial integrity.
In reply to APS reporter’s question about the last statement issued by the ministry of Foreign Affairs, Belani said "everything suggests that it is premeditated as (the escalation) meets multiple considerations that do not escape us."
"All begins with the act of unspeakable hostility implicating Algeria’s territorial integrity."
"The war-like statements, of an extreme gravity, made by the leader of Istiqlal party, member of the governmental coalition, and which were broadcast on public TV stations will in no way be considered as a promotion to freedom of expression and opinion, and their highly harmful impact cannot be ignored by the authorities, which prefer absolving them by keeping silent," he underlined.(SPS)
