Chaheed El Hafed (refugee camps), Aug 22, 2013 (SPS) - The National Secretariat of the Polisario Front emphasized Wednesday the need to strengthen cooperation between countries of the region in terms of security, in a statement concluded its 6th meeting chaired by the President of the Republic , SG of the Polisario Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz.
The meeting stressed the importance of cooperation between countries of the region for regional security and the protection of its interests and stability, stressing that the National Secretariat has intensified its efforts to strengthen the appropriate measures at the national level in this area, in accordance with the commitments of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) within the African Union and international conventions.
The meeting also discussed the situation in the liberated territories of SADR and various aspects of the management, development and construction of this land, which has been liberated thanks to the sacrifices of the Saharawi people.
POLISARIO National Secretariat also discussed the political blackmail exerted by the Moroccan occupier through flooding the region with the poison of drugs, support the organized crime and terrorist groups, as well as weakening the economies of neighbouring countries.
The meeting was attended by members of the Saharawi Government and stuff of the Saharawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA). (SPS)
