Saharawi people determined to intensify struggle to snatch spoiled rights, says PM

Boumerdes (Algeria), Aug 25, 2013 (SPS) - Prime Minister Mr. Abdelkader Omar Taleb reiterated Sunday from Boumerdes, Algeria, the determination of Saharawi people to “intensify the struggle to snatch its spoiled rights.”


In his closing speech of Summer University of SADR Cadres read on his behalf by the Minister of Education Ms. Meriem Salek Hamada, the Prime Minister Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar said that the Saharawi people will “continue to fight to recover its freedom and independence.”


“The continued occupation of our land and the weakness of the international pressure on the aggressor, that is the challenge facing the Saharawi people,” he noted while stressing the need for “greater efforts to lead the peace process till the end.”


In this context, the Saharawi PM reiterated the Polisario Front’s readiness to “continue to cooperate with Christopher Ross,” while working to “accelerate the implementation of the Security Council resolutions and consolidate the decolonization efforts undertaken by the United Nations to organize a fair and just referendum.”


In his message, Mr. Taleb Omar asked the UN “to fully assume” its responsibilities to set up a mechanism for the protection and monitoring of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, as well as to be open the Territory to international observers to get to know the reality of the Saharawi people.
