Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Nov 5, 2013 (SPS) - Bureau of the National Secretariat of the Frente Polisario said that any agreement including the areas or territorial waters of Western Sahara is “an unethical contribution” to support Moroccan occupation, adding that such act would make the European nations involved “shamefully” in the looting of the wealth of an unarmed and oppressed people.

In a statement concluded a meeting held Monday evening at the Presidency of the Republic, National Secretariat asserted that any agreement including the areas or territorial waters of Western Sahara will be a “flagrant violation” of international law, adding that such act would make the European nations involved “shamefully” in the looting of the natural resources of an unarmed and oppressed people.

The statement noted that taking such a step would constitute a “moral contribution” to support the expansionist colonial policies pursued by Moroccan state in Western Sahara and “an encouragement” for it (Morocco) to continue its disregard to international legitimacy and persistence of grave human rights violations.

The statement, on other hand, called on the UN to assume “full responsibilities” towards Western Sahara, as an international area under its supervision, as to speed up the decolonization through the exercise by the Saharawi people to their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.

Condemning in the strongest terms the blatant attack against Algeria’s consulate in Casablanca occurred on November 1st, the National Secretariat expressed Saharawi people’s solidarity with their Algerian brothers.

It, in the same regard, emphasized that such “disgraceful” behavior shows, once again, Moroccan state’s disregard to international law, morals and values of brotherhood, good neighborliness and diplomatic norms. (SPS)
