Sahrawi Advisory Council calls on U.S. president for improving human rights situation in occupied Western Sahara

El Aaiun (Refugee Camps) February 23, 2014 (SPS) – Sahrawi  Advisory Council has called in a letter on U.S. President Mr. Barack Obama for the need to protect and improve the situation  of human rights in  occupied Western Sahara through creation of an international mechanism.

 

The Council urged the United States to pressure Morocco to comply with international legality and implement the resolutions of the United Nations to enable the Saharawi people to their right to self-determination and release Saharawi political prisoners in Moroccan jails. SPS
