President heads to Nigeria for international summit on Human Security, Peace and Development

Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Feb 25, 2014 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz headed today, Tuesday, to Abuja, capital of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to take part at an international summit on human security, peace and development, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic.


The President of the Republic is accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Salem Ouls Salek, minister of foreign affairs, Mr. Abbi Bachraya Bachir, ambassador in Abuja, and Mr. Abdati Breika, advisor to the Presidency of the Republic.


The summit will be organized Thursday on the occasion of the 100-year anniversary of Nigeria’s existence as a nation.


Held uner the theme “Human Security, Peace and Development: An Agenda for Africa,” the summit will bring together heads of state and government from Africa and around the globe.


Nigerian President H.E. Mr. Goodluck Jonathan has announced the hosting of this summit at the 22nd African Union Summit, convened last January. (SPS)
