Algiers, March 19, 2014 (SPS) - Algeria and Chad have reiterated support to the UN efforts aimed at reaching a "just and final solution" to the Saharawi issue in accordance with the pertinent resolutions of the Security Council and General Assembly of the UN.
At the end of the 3rd session of the Algerian-Chadian Joint Cooperation Committee, the two countries reiterated their support to the efforts of the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General for Western Sahara to reach a “fair and definitive settlement” to this issue in accordance with the resolutions of UN Security Council and General Assembly.
They also expressed satisfaction with their convergence of views on regional and international issues of common interest. (SPS)
