Dar es Salaam (Zambia), March 29, 2014 (SPS) - The representative of Zambia at the Meeting of the Socialist International Africa Committee stressed the need for the United Nations to fulfill its commitments towards the Saharawi people, implement its resolutions and organise the referendum of self-determination.
During the meeting which took place in Dar es Salaam, Zambia, the representative of Zambia called for the expansion of the prerogatives of the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) to include human rights monitoring. (SPS)
