Smara (Sahrawi Refugee), April 5, 2014 (SPS) - The President of the Republic Secretary-General of the Polisario Front Mohamed Abdelaziz has announced the launch of a national and international campaign for the release of all Saharawi political prisoners and reveal the fate of those who have disappeared since October 31, 1975.
The President of the Republic announced the campaign during a celebration held Thursday in the Wilaya of Samara, Sahrawi refugee camps, in honour of a delegation of the Algerian Committee of Solidarity with the Sahrawi people.
There are more than 500 missing people including a group of 15 kidnapped since 2005, 15 prisoners of war, 74 Sahrawi political prisoners among them the group of 22 known as the Group Gdeim Izik whose their sentences range from 20 years to imprisonment for life. (SPS)
