President of Republic concludes visit to Cuba

 Havana (Cuba), June 4, 2014 (SPS) - President of the Republic,Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mohamed Abdelaziz concluded his visit to the Republic of Cuba which lasted two days.

 

The visit was marked by the important meeting with the President of the Republic of Cuba, His Excellency Raul Castro, in the presence of high-ranking officials from both sides, Cuban and Sahrawi.

 

On the occasion of the visit, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples organized a ceremony of solidarity with the Saharawi people, in the presence of the President Republic, as a guest of honor, the diplomatic corps accredited in Havana and a number of politicians, intellectuals, personalities, audience from Cuba and members of the Sahrawi community.

 

The members of the Sahrawi delegation held specialized meetings with Cuban officials in the sectors of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, Education, Health, vocational training, solidarity and others.

 

The visit of the President of the Republic was the second in Latin America, after the visit to El Salvador to attend the investiture ceremony of new President-elect Salvador Sanchez Ceren.

 

The President of the Republic is accompanied by a delegation including members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Salem Ould Salek and Khira Bellahi respectively: Foreign Minister and Minister for Vocational Training, Individuals and Public Function, as well as Advisor to the Presidency Abdati Breika and Ambassador to Cuba, Malainine Tghana.
