Windhoek, June 5, 2014 (SPS) - Namibian President Hifikepunye Pohamba reiterated his country's support to the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence, during his meeting Wednesday with the Secretary General of the National Union of Sahrawi women, Fatma Mehdi.
President Hifikepunye Pohamba emphasized that the Namibian people under the leadership of SWAPO will continue to support the Saharawi people until the liberation of the last colony in Africa which is Western Sahara.
The meeting was an opportunity for the Secretary General of the National Union of Sahrawi women to address the latest developments related to the Sahrawi issue, particularly violations of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara. (SPS)
