Shaheed Hafed, August 20, 2014 (SPS) - The Secretary General of the Union of Students of Saguia El Hamra and Rio de Oro, Ahmed Abdi Lehbib, confirmed Tuesday the participation of Arab and African countries delegations in the II Congress, held August 23-25, in the wilaya of Awserd under the theme: " the Saharawi Student Movement is in the service of the National goals".
Speaking to SPS, Lehbib Ahmed indicated the congress will feature prominent participation of students from Algeria, Mauritania, Palestine and Jordan, as well as African countries.
An important delegation from the occupied territories of Western Sahara representing the Sahrawi students will also participate in the congress.
Regarding the goals of the congress, the Secretary General of the Saharawi Students Union pointed out it would be an opportunity to complete the structure of the union under constitutional law, specifically in relation to the Saharawi students in universities in Morocco and communities (Algeria and Mauritania).
He added that the event will raise awareness about the national cause and bring greater support for the struggle of the Saharawi people. (SPS)
