Occupied Western Sahara turned to big prison, despite presence of UN flag (President Mohamed Abdelaziz)

Awserd (refugee camps), Sept 10, 2014 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz on Wednesday said that the occupied Saharawi territories are being turned into a “big prison” by Moroccan occupation, despite the presence of the UN flag.

Speaking during the National Cadres’ Conference, held in Awserd, President Mohamed Abdelaziz described as “craziness and adventure” Morocco’s refusal to allow human rights monitoring in the occupied parts of Western Sahara.

He, in this regard, added that such behaviour from the part of Morocco has translated in its recent campaigns to expell international observes and to refuse cooperating with the UN and Personal Envoy Christopher Ross.

The Saharawi President went on saying that the Moroccan occupation has been placed in a real confrontation with the African Union (AU) since 1983, due to the Saharawi Republic (SADR) having been member of the AU.

He also warned of the media siege blockade imposed on the occupied Saharawi territories and daily expulsion of international independent observers by Morocco.

“The Frente Polisario has forced Morocco to relegate in an unenviable position, after he chose to challenge the United Nations, African Union, neighbouring countries and international observers,” underlined Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz. (SPS)
