Murcia (Spain), October 31, 2014 (SPS) - A new agreement of cooperation between the Sahrawi University of Tifariti and the Spanish universities of Murciaand Cartagena was signed Monday.
The signing ceremony which took place at the University of Murcia, was attended by the Dean of the University of Murcia, José Luis Orihuela Calatayud, and the Dean of the University of Cartagena, José Antonio Franco Leemhuis, besides the SADR Minister of Cooperation, Ibrahim Mukhtar, the Dean of the University of Tifariti, Khatari Hmudi and the Polisario Front Representative in Murcia, Mohamed Lebat Mustafa.
During the signing ceremony, which was supervised by the Deans of the three university, the Dean of University of Murcia considered the signing of this agreement as a precious opportunity to further consolidate relations between the signatory universities on the joint cooperation agreement, expressing the readiness of the university to support the Sahrawis in this field and to participate in the sensitization weeks about the Sahrawi issue which is organized by the Polisario Front Representation in Murcia.
For his part, the Dean of the University of Cartagena stressed that the agreement content must be transmitted into tangible and concrete agreements, through providing opportunities and offering scholarship to Sahrawi students in post-graduation studies, exchange of experiences, training of teacher, and contribution to the infrastructure of the Sahrawi University.
