President of Republic congratulates Algerian counterpart on First November Day

Birlehlu, October 31, 2014 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, has congratulated Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the outbreak of the Algerian revolution on November 1, 1954, in a letter Friday.

 

"On the sixtieth anniversary of the triumphant Algerian liberation revolution, we evoke along with the peoples of Africa, Asia, Latin America and others such outstanding epic which overwhelmed arrogance and smugness of the mightiest colonial power and conquered, even before the coronation of victory and independence, the way wide open for the decolonization of many neighboring countries, the region and the world," said the President of the Republic in his letter.

 

"Thepermanent persistence of Algeria to advocate the just struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence against the Moroccan occupation reflects wholeheartedly Algeria's firm and unwavering commitment to the application of the requirements of the international law, enshrined in the charter and resolutions of the United Nations and the African Union," he added.

 

On this occasion, the President of the Republic renewed determination tofurther promote relations of brotherhood, friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples. (SPS)
