“H.E. Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta
President of the Republic of Kenya
Excellency,

On my personal name and on behalf of the Saharawi people and government, I would like to extend you my heartfelt congratulations for the International Criminal Court's withdrawal of the case against your Excellency on Friday 5th December 2014, knowing that it was a highly due and well deserved recognition of the position you and our Continental Organisation have been defending since the beginning.

The Saharawi Republic has always believed that the Kenyan cases at the ICC were baseless and lacked evidences and accuracy, in addition to the fact that it seemed highly politicized. For these reasons, our position as a Government and Founding Member State of the African Union was firm, unconditional and in accordance with the common position of the AU on the matter.

The Saharawi Republic considers this decision a success and a victory to all African Nations, and an international recognition of Kenya's democracy.

Please accept, Mr. President, my sincere wishes for the success and progress of Kenya, for the personal well-being of yourself and your family and for the peace and prosperity of the people of your brotherly nation.

Bir-lehlu December 7, 2014” (SPS)
