Las Palmas, March15, 2015 (SPS) - The Polisario Front representation in the Canary Islands expressed the strongest condemnation and rejection to the vist of former Spanish Prime José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero to the city of Dakhla to attend the Crans Montana Forum that major international organizations refused to attend.
The Saharawi representation noted in a statement Thursday that Mr. Zapatero was “the first Spanish senior official to become directly involved in supporting the Moroccan barbarity carried out against the defenseless Saharawi people, where the city has been converted these days to an immense military barracks to avoid protests and condemnations of the population of Dakhla against the forum, which NGOs, UN, AU, EU, PAP, UNESCO have declined to attend ".
The representation stressed that the visit is a “detrimental to the sufferings of the Saharawi people and contrary to the immense feeling of the noble Spanish people.” (SPS)
