Moroccan occupying forces crack down on peaceful vigil in occupied Dajla

Dajla (occupied territories), March 18, 2015 (SPS) - Moroccan occupying forces repressed Wednesday a peaceful demonstration in protest to an activity supporting Moroccan occupation, according to a source from the Ministry of the Occupied Territories and Community Abroad.


The demonstrators chanted slogans calling for the right of self-determination for the Saharawi people and rejecting the Moroccan autonomy plan.


Moroccan forces violently intervened against the demonstrators, resulting in the arrest of the Saharawi citizens Sidi Ould Amar and Al-Wali Ould Sidi Salem.


To note, the occupied city of Dajla witnesses the organization of several protests opposing Morocco’s attempts to impose a fait accompli policy in the occupied Western Sahara through holding seminars and meetings, lastly of which Crans Montana Forum. (SPS)
