Yerevan (Armenia), May 9, 2015 (SPS) - A delegation of the Sahrawi Youth Union (UJSARIO) participated in the work of the General Council of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) from May 7 -10, in the Armenian capital Yerevan.
The Council will examine this year the current youth issues, fight against poverty, climate change and economic growth.
The Council's work will also witness the participation of delegations representing the socialist youth and student organizations from different continents.
The first day of the work saw the presentation of the literary report of the organization by President Felipe Ignacio, who reaffirmed support to the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination.
For his part, Hamdi Mohamed Youcef, in charge of UJSARIO external relations, held the Moroccan youth responsible for non-completion of the visit of IUSY to the occupied territories and Saharawi refugee camps, welcoming the cooperation of Socialist Youth and their defense for the just cause of Western Sahara.
