Sale (Morocco), August 5, 2015 (SPS) - The Saharawi political prisoner, Dafi Deich, suffered Tuesday from a severe fainting resulted from a high blood sugar, said a source from the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Communities Abroad.
For the source, the prisoner lost consciousness after he got angry at Sale Prison’s medical staff being late in bringing medicaments.
He was transferred to the hospital after two hours, the time Moroccan police came to take him from the prison.
The state of health of Dafi Deich remains unknown, especially after he previously spent a period of at least 50 days (June-August 2014) under medical follow-up.
The Saharawi prisoner, one of the group of Gdeim Izik detainees, suffers from several chronic diseases, of which diabetes, kidney disease, hearing loss in right side, and a severe eye injury as a result of torture, beatings and ill-treatment he suffered during his detention in November 2010 in the local prison of Salé 2.
