Las Palmas (Canary Islands) Sept 15, 2015 (SPS) - the representative of Polisario Front in Canary Islands denounced on Monday the conference on fishing in the territorial waters of the occupied Western Sahara scheduled to be on 16 and 17 September in Las Palmas, in which will participate 24 countries, including the Advisory Council of the EU.
The representative said that “it is 100 km from the Las Palmas there are people struggling for self-determination, and facing daily various gross violations of human rights and illegal exploitation of their natural resources.”
“The EU-Morocco fisheries agreement is an illegal agreement because it includes the territorial waters of Western Sahara and also contributes in blocking any political solution to this long-standing dispute.” adding the representative. (SPS)
